Modified Schedule Collection for January 15/16, 2020

January 14, 2020

With the latest forecast showing a high of -38C tomorrow (Wednesday January 15), we have decided not to run any of our trucks tomorrow.  This includes front end, roll-off and burro collection trucks.

This most affects residents of Rosalind, Heisler and Daysland for curbside collection.  We will be picking up curbside in Rosalind, Heisler & Daysland garbage on Thursday January 16.

The Landfill will be open with minimal staff, please call the office prior to departing or for additional information 780-384-3950.

For Strome and Sedgewick, curbside collection will be the regular Thursday run, however schedules will be off.  We advise all residents to have their garbage on the street by 8:00 a.m. as we will probably be off schedule all day.

Transfer Site Closures Due to Inclement Weather

The Hardisty Regional Transfer Site and Alliance Regional Transfer Site will be closed January 15th due to severe cold weather, if you have any concerns please contact our main office at (780)384-3950. The main landfill site located NE of Sedgewick will be open for regular hours of operations. The Hardisty and Alliance Transfer Sites will reopen January 18th with regular hours of operation.

Cold Weather Schedule Modifications

With the extreme cold weather experienced this week, we will be offering modified service on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Urban waste collection in Galahad and Forestburg will be delayed until 10:00 a.m. today. Temperatures are expected to warm up slightly after sunrise and we will be dispatching two crews instead of the normal 1 crew to reduce outdoor exposure to our operators.

Likewise, front end trucks servicing small bins will be dispatched after 10:00 a.m. and will complete modified runs on both Tuesday.

Please contact the office for more info 780-384-3950
